Shashank Soman

Shashank Soman is an experienced Intelligent Transport Systems Engineer currently employed at Transurban since November 2021, where responsibilities include engineering roadside systems for various NSW motorways, focusing on electronic toll collection systems and vehicle detection and classification units. Prior to this role, Shashank worked at Lendlease from November 2018 to November 2021, serving as a Graduate Engineer in Systems Engineering for Transport Infrastructure, where contributions included developing an Asset Management System to manage over 600,000 assets and serving as a Project/Asset Engineer at the Lendlease-Tyco Joint Venture, concentrating on vehicle detection technologies. Shashank's engineering career began with an internship at Datalec Services Pty Ltd and includes work in network engineering for Lendlease's NBN project. Shashank holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) (Hons.) from UNSW and is an alumnus of Macquarie Fields High School.
