Ren Yi started working as a research assistant at Brown University in June 2014 and also served as an instructor from September 2014 to December 2017. In this role, they focused on discrete mathematics and utilized computational math fields such as combinatorics and computational geometry to develop geometric representations for studying theoretical discrete dynamical systems. Ren Yi earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Stony Brook University between 2009 and 2012. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics at Brown University from 2012 to 2018.
