Jodi Baker has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Jodi currently holds the position of Director of People and Culture at Travel Alberta since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at STARS Air Ambulance from October 2018 to March 2023, managing a team in the human resources department. Before that, they served as the Senior Human Resources Manager at Rogers Communications from February 2015 to September 2018, where they led a team of HR professionals across Canada. Jodi also worked at Avenue Living as the Vice President of Human Resources from July 2012 to February 2015, leading the implementation of HR services and programs. Additionally, they held the position of Manager of Human Resources at Construction Products Distribution - Winroc/SPI from April 2011 to July 2012, focusing on workforce development and learning programs. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Human Resources & Learning and Development at Standen's from 2009 to 2011, where they provided HR leadership and developed various training programs. Jodi's earlier experience includes working at Nortel/Flextronics as the Manager of Employee Development and Training/HR Advisor from 2004 to 2009, where they contributed to workforce development and provided advisory services in HR.

Jodi Baker has a diverse education history. In 1995 to 1997, they attended the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. Later, in 2021, Jodi undertook various educational courses and programs. Jodi obtained a certificate in Advancing Woman in Leadership from Dale Carnegie Training in December 2021. Additionally, they completed courses in Inclusive Leadership from Coursera (University of Colorado), Indigenous Canada from Coursera (University of Alberta), and Harassment Investigation from Hill Advisory Services, all in 2021. These certifications and courses showcase their commitment to personal and professional development.
