Karen Kaminski

Karen Kaminski has had a diverse work experience in both the human resources and legal sectors. Karen started their career in 1989 as a Manager of Human Resources at May Department Stores, where they worked until 1995. Karen then moved on to Clark Refining & Marketing, where they served as a Manager of Employee Relations from 1995 to 1997. In 2000, they worked as an Attorney at Duvin, Cahn & Hutton for a year before joining Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores as a Director of Human Resources. Karen held this position for 10 years, from 2001 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, Karen worked as a Vice President of Human Resources at Caesars Entertainment - Horseshoe Cleveland and ThistleDown Racino. Karen'smost recent role was as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources at TravelCenters of America, where they started in 2015 and is currently employed.

Karen Kaminski received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Cleveland State University from 1989 to 1993. Karen later attended the Cleveland State University College of Law from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law. In 2007, Karen attended Kent State University and completed an Executive MBA program in Business from 2007 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Karen Kaminski obtained several certifications. In May 2000, they became an Attorney after passing the bar exam administered by the Supreme Court of Ohio. In January 2007, they earned the Sr. Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Finally, in May 2015, Karen obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
