Laurenne McAteer has a strong background in instructional design and performance technology. Laurenne began their career in 1996 as a Technical Writer/Simulation Developer at NCCI Holdings, Inc. From there, they worked as an Instructional Designer at Arise Virtual Solutions Inc. for six years. In 2006, they became the Director of Instructional and Performance Technology at EPSScentral LLC. Laurenne then took on a role as an Instructional Design Contractor at Tyco International, where they led e-Learning and performance support solutions for various subsidiaries. Laurenne also worked at ProLogic Retail Services as a Multimedia Simulation Designer. In 2012, they joined Afni as a Senior Instructional Design Consultant, converting call center training courses for Verizon Wireless and Verizon Residential. In 2013, they worked as an Instructional Design Contractor for the United States Air Force, developing an interactive tool for emergency response plans. Following this, they joined Lynn University as an Instructional Designer, where they were responsible for incorporating mobile technology into the student learning experience. Currently, they are a Team Lead for Learning and Performance Technology at Travelport.

Laurenne McAteer earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Fine Arts from the University of Florida in 1980. Laurenne then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Fine Arts from Florida International University from 1980 to 1981. In 2012-2013, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Multi-Media Web Design from PC Professor.
