Paul Mugford

Paul Mugford started their career at Cisco in 1998 as a TAC Engineer Team Leader. Paul then joined Getronics in 2002 as a Principal Consultant, specializing in WAN, Datacenter, and Security Design. During this time, they led investigations into internal cyber attacks and worked on projects for large-scale dial-out solutions and website relocations. In 2006, Paul joined Travelport as a Global Architect, where they led initiatives such as communications cost reduction, IT infrastructure management, and the design and implementation of a Corporate SSL VPN solution. Paul later served as a Senior Solutions Architect, Head of Architecture Consulting, Principal Cyber Security Architect, and is currently the Director of Cyber Security Architecture. In these roles, they worked on various projects ranging from standardizing rail technology across Europe to designing a Rail Content Hub and exploring edge computing for API connectivity.

Paul Mugford attended Lord Grey Secondary School from 1987 to 1995. Paul obtained certifications from Microsoft as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in 1997 and from Cisco as a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in 2001. In 2018, they obtained a certification in IBM Blockchain Foundation for Developers from Coursera.
