Frank Elkins is the Chief Operating Officer at Travis Perkins. Frank has over fifteen years of experience in the construction and industrial supplies industry.
Elkins started their career at BSS Industrial in 2003, where they held various positions including PLC Director and Managing Director. Frank was appointed to the BSS Group PLC Board in December 2009 and was fully involved in the process of Travis Perkins acquiring BSS Group PLC in December 2010. During their time at BSS, Elkins was responsible for identification of a number of acquisition targets, successful acquisition of UGS and integration into BSS, and maximisation of shareholder value in the sale of BSS Group Plc. to Travis Perkins. Frank also oversaw record sales and profit growth at BSS Industrial.
In January 2011, Elkins joined Travis Perkins Trade Merchanting Businesses as Managing Director of BSS Industrial and Director of BSS Group Ltd. Frank was responsible for fully integrating BSS Group Ltd. into Travis Perkins, ensuring that all opportunities to deliver £25m of synergies were identified and delivered for the Group. Frank also oversaw a strong performance of BSS Industrial, which delivered a 9% net return during their last two years at the company.
Elkins has been instrumental in delivering market-leading results in terms of sales and return despite both the economic environment and the takeover by TP. Frank has also successfully rolled out new processes and systems for all colleagues in BSS.
Frank Elkins received a Bachelor's Degree in Food Marketing from Aberystwyth University.
