Matt Alexander

Matt Alexander has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of chemistry and scientific research. Matt is currently serving as the Director of Chemistry at Treeline Biosciences since May 2021. Previously, they worked at Bristol Myers Squibb, where they held various roles including Scientific Associate Director, Senior Principal Scientist, and Principal Scientist from 2019 to 2021. Matt also gained significant experience at Celgene, where they worked as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist in medicinal chemistry from 2012 to 2019. Prior to Celgene, they worked at Avila Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist in medicinal chemistry from 2011 to 2012, and at TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Scientist in medicinal chemistry from 2007 to 2011. Matt started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California at San Diego from 2004 to 2007 and completed their graduate studies as a Graduate Student at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) from 1997 to 2004.

Matt Alexander obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University from 1994 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at the University of Michigan from 1997 to 2004, where they earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry.
