Matthew Salie

Matthew Salie has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences and research. Matthew is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Treeline Biosciences since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Erasca, Inc. where they held the positions of Senior Scientist, Proteomics from January 2021 to January 2023 and Scientist, Proteomics from February 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining Erasca, Inc., Matthew was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute from June 2016 to February 2019. Matthew started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Missouri in August 2011, where they made significant contributions in discovering novel regulatory mechanisms of fatty acid synthesis in plants. During their time at the University, they gained expertise in protein-protein interactions, protein analysis techniques, and molecular biology methods. Matthew also published two first-author papers and filed two patents.

Matthew has also received training in mass spectrometry from Thermo Fisher Scientific and Thermo Scientific in 2014 and 2013, respectively. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Calvin College from January 2010 to July 2011.

Matthew Salie has a strong educational background in biochemistry. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Calvin University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2011 to 2016. During this time, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry.
