Alex Young

Alex Young is the Chief Pilot & Research Forester at Treeswift. Alex has also worked as the Research Operations Manager at Dropcopter, a graduate research assistant at The State University of New York, and a biological science technician at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Alex's research experience includes canopy research on the distribution of tardigrades in tree canopies and tree herbivory. Alex has also worked as a gear repair specialist at College Outdoors.

Alex Young's educational career includes a Master of Science in Forestry and Natural Resource Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lewis and Clark College.

They work with Jimmy Paulos - Head of Robotics, Vaibhav Arcot - Software Lead & Co-Founder, and Elizabeth Hunter - COO & Co-Founder. Alex Young reports to Steven Chen, CEO & Co-Founder.
