Brian Schumann

Brian Schumann has a wealth of experience in the bicycle industry, with their most recent role as the Director of Engineering at Trek Bicycle starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager at Diamant Fahrradwerke GmbH from 2018 to 2022. brian also has an extensive history at Trek Bicycle Corporation, starting in 2000, where they held various engineering management positions, including roles such as Engineering Manager, Manager of the Analysis and Testing Group, and Composite Design Engineer. Before joining Trek Bicycle Corporation, Brian worked as a Composite Design Engineer at Tennessee Watercraft Division, a division of Yamaha USA, from 1998 to 2000.

Brian Schumann completed their education in a chronological manner. brian obtained a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical/Materials Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Wyoming from 1995 to 1998, earning a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specifically focusing on Composite Materials Design.
