Daniel Taitt

Chief CAD Specialist at Trek Bicycle

Daniel Taitt has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Daniel began their career in 1991 as a Welder-Fabricator at Custom Metals, Inc, where they worked on various projects for commercial and residential buildings, including ornamental railings, fireplace doors, spiral staircases, and light fixtures. Daniel also contributed to the Wisconsin State Capitol Restoration project.

In 1999, Daniel worked as a Drafter at Wisconsin Porcelain before transitioning to Trek Bicycle Corporation in 2001. At Trek, they started as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician and later became a Prototype Development Technician. In 2008, they assumed the role of CAD Specialist and further advanced to Chief CAD Specialist in 2013.

Throughout their tenure at Trek Bicycle Corporation, Daniel excelled in 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks with ePDM as the primary CAD package. Daniel provided support to co-workers, delivered in-house CAD training, and assisted the Information Technology Department. Daniel Taitt completed an Associates degree in Mechanical Design at Madison Area Technical College from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1991, they obtained a One Year Welding Diploma in Welding Technology/Welder, also at Madison Area Technical College.
