Spencer Cocanour

Spencer Cocanour currently serves as the City of Asheville Harvest House Woodshop Manager and holds multiple board positions, including roles with the Combat Control Foundation and the USAF Combat Control Association. With a diverse professional background, Spencer operates Asheville Tree Top Cat Rescue, where tree climbing and cat wrangling are key responsibilities. Additional roles include consulting for STR, coaching cycling at Walton Endurance, guiding for Trek Travel, and co-owning Team Cocanour LLC, which encompasses various ventures such as cat rescue, coffee roasting, woodworking, and cycling coaching. Previous military experience includes commanding positions with the United States Air Force, specifically as the Vice Commander and Commander of the 24th Special Operations Wing, as well as leadership in the 720th Special Tactics Group. Spencer's educational background includes a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies from the USMC War College and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
