Nicholas Granda-Watkins has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Nicholas started their career at BSD Solutions Ltd. in 2010, where they worked as a System Designer. In this role, they designed and drafted control strategies for commercial HVAC and physical security systems. Nicholas also researched and managed project materials to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory standards. Nicholas oversaw installation processes to ensure conformity with design intent and industry best practices.

In 2014, Nicholas joined Dragan Technologies as an Electrical Engineer. In this position, they designed and prototyped electronic products such as sensors and embedded systems. Nicholas also designed, built, and maintained shop electrical equipment. Nicholas provided support to customers and developed new products. Nicholas wrote algorithms for project systems and managed a team of electrical engineers, software developers, mechanical draftspeople, and production staff. Nicholas worked on notable projects, including an automation system for agricultural ditch digging equipment.

Nicholas then joined Siemens in 2017 as a Building Automation Specialist. In this role, they focused on building automation and worked with customers to provide support and develop new products. Nicholas stayed at Siemens until 2019.

After their stint at Siemens, Nicholas joined Conviron as an Electrical Designer in 2019. Their primary responsibilities included designing electrical systems. Nicholas stayed with Conviron until 2022.

Currently, Nicholas is working at Trendi as a Product Engineer (Electrical), starting in 2022.

Nicholas Granda-Watkins has a diverse education history. Nicholas began their educational journey in 2009 at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Electronics. Nicholas successfully completed this program in 2010.

After a break in their education, Nicholas resumed their studies in 2018 at Athabasca University. Nicholas is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, specializing in Computer Science. This program is expected to be completed in 2026.

In addition to their formal education, Nicholas obtained a certification in Duolingo German Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) in January 2016. This certification reflects their proficiency in the German language.
