Bishal Thapaliya

Bishal Thapaliya is currently working as an Applied Scientist at Amazon since May 2024. Prior to this, Bishal worked as a PHD Candidate at the TReNDS Center focusing on developing deep-learning models. Bishal also has experience as an R&D Data Science Summer Intern at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson where primary work was on machine learning and medical imaging. With a background as a Senior Software Developer at Spiralogics, Inc. and a Software Developer at Channakya Software, Bishal has expertise in database technologies and software development. Bishal holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science from Georgia State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from St. Xavier's College, Maitighar.
