Akhila Nair has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2015. Akhila began their career as a Network Security Intern at the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, where they examined the working of Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) and its implementation in communication process, analyzed firewall administration, infrastructure support, quality analysis and network operations of the BSE network, and evaluated results, troubleshoots, tested security and system performances. In 2018, they became a Graduate Student Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they developed Answer keys, graded assignments and exam papers for Circuit Theory II, managed UMass Lowell's Nursing School's Networking sites, edited and fixed broken links and misspellings on the UMass Solomont School of Nursing Page, and optimized website content in Tridion Application to bring greater material integration and site traffic. In 2020, Akhila moved to Rapid Micro Biosystems as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they led efforts to migrate existing infrastructures into Virtual Private Cloud environments on AWS, created, reviewed, and delivered end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts and training) for accuracy and exposed to Agile Software Development and Document tracking environment, and was responsible for automating manufacturing tasks such as commissioning the instrument and bringing down the turn-around time of the process considerably (40%) and thereby increasing scalability. Currently, they are working as a DevOps Engineer at Tresata since 2021.

Akhila Nair received their Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2017. Akhila then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which they completed in 2019.
