David Dreisigmeyer has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and governance. David is currently working as the Chief Data Officer and Federal Data Strategy Subject Matter Expert at Trewon Technologies, where they are leading a federal principle statistical agency in creating a formal data governance structure. David has successfully integrated data governance into their culture and managed the creation of their inaugural Learning Agenda. Prior to this, David served as the Interim Deputy Chief Data Officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where they implemented the Federal Data Strategy and Evidence Act. David also played a key role in creating a comprehensive data inventory and conducting the Department's first data maturity and workforce assessment. David has previously worked as a Data Scientist at the U.S. Census Bureau and as a Federal Data Strategy Fellow at the U.S. Census Bureau, where they managed a cross-agency team to draft the Federal Data Strategy's data skills playbook. David has also held positions at the FDA, Addx Corporation, Northern New Mexico College, University of Pittsburgh, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Colorado State University.

David Dreisigmeyer obtained a B.S. degree in Pre-law from Juniata College, where they studied from 1992 to 1994. David then pursued their M.S. degree in Mathematics at Colorado State University, from 1997 until 1999. Subsequently, David completed their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Colorado State University, where they studied between 1999 and 2004.
