Translational Research Institute
Lisa Philp has extensive work experience in research, with their most recent role being the Leader of the Translational Adipokine Research Group at Translational Research Institute Australia since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology from October 2014. Lisa also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide from 2011 to 2014. Overall, Lisa's work experience focuses on research and has spanned across multiple institutions.
Lisa Philp completed their Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of Adelaide from 2003 to 2005. Lisa then pursued further education at the same university and earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in 2006, focusing on the early origins of adult health and disease, as well as metabolism and obesity. Lisa Philp continued their academic journey and obtained a PhD in Medicine, specializing in obesity and metabolism, from the University of Adelaide in the years 2007 to 2011.

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is a unique, Australian-first initiative of ‘bench to bedside’ medical research. TRI combines clinical and translational research to advance progress from laboratory discovery to application in the community.
