Nazaneen Shokri

Nazaneen Shokri has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Nazaneen started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy in 2021 and also worked as a Server at Rancatore Ice Cream from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, they served as the Editor In Chief for The Tie Newspaper. From 2012 to 2020, they worked as a Rider/Whipper In at Norfolk Hunt Club and Myopia Hunt Club.

At Elon University, Nazaneen held multiple positions. Nazaneen worked as an Undergraduate Researcher from August 2021 to March 2022 and then from March 2022 to the present. In 2023, they became the Director of Administration for Tri Delta, where they managed attendance records, resolved conflicts, and facilitated communication between teams. From 2022 to the present, they have been a Peer Educator/Mentor and a Peer Educator Advisory Board Member at Elon University's Center for Leadership. In their advisory board role, they collaborated with a team to train peer mentors and design educational models.

Nazaneen also has experience in the field of healthcare. Nazaneen is a Student Board Member at the Health Equity Racism (H.E.R.) Lab, where they participate in campus events and discussions on racial injustice in healthcare. In 2021, they became a Director in Public Health & Middle East Studies for the Undergraduate Research Student Association. Furthermore, they had a shadowing experience at Atrius Health in 2023.

Nazaneen Shokri pursued their education with a focus on Public Health. From 2020 to 2024, they attended Elon University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Public Health. In 2022, they also briefly studied at the UNC Odom Institute for Research in Social Sciences. Prior to their university studies, they attended Saint Joseph Prep for general academic studies. In addition to their formal education, they obtained various certifications including Crisis Counselor from Crisis Text Line, CPR from the American Red Cross, and Social and Behavioral Research - Basic/Refresher from the CITI Program.
