Akil Burgess is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in systems support, network troubleshooting, and training. At Tri-Valley Opportunity Council since February 2014, Akil oversees the setup and support of desktop systems for over 600 staff members, in addition to troubleshooting software and hardware issues. As a Network Support Specialist at Crookston Inn and Convention Center, Akil provides network support and conducts training for staff on software applications. Previous experience includes roles such as Supervisor of Youth Crew for Computer for Communities, Web Developer, and SharePoint Consultant, demonstrating a strong commitment to technology, education, and community engagement. Akil holds a B.S. in Information Technology Management from the University of Minnesota-Crookston and has completed education at Lakota High School and Oak Park River Forest High School.
