Karthik G.

Karthik G. has an extensive work experience history. Karthik currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at TrialX, starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Engineer at Coupang from April 2018 to April 2022. Before that, they worked at Castlight Health as a Principal Engineer, where they were responsible for architecting a data processing pipeline and designing an Optout product. Karthik also worked as a Research Principal Scientist at Accenture Technology Labs, focusing on federated databases and data virtualization. At the University of Southern California, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and led research projects related to the LA Smart grid and smart oil fields. Earlier in their career, Karthik worked as an engineer at TrialX, contributing to the design and implementation of the TrialX iPhone app. Karthik also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the knoesis center, wright state university, where they developed Twitris, a social media analytics approach. Finally, Karthik gained research experience as a Research Intern at IBM T.J.Watson Research Center, where they designed methodologies for determining resources utilized by a service request in a data processing system.

Karthik G. pursued their education from 1996 to 2001 at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics. Following that, they attended The University of Georgia from 2002 to 2009, completing their Ph.D in Computer Science.
