The Operations Analyst position will be based within Europe or Turkey and will report to the Regional Operations Manager.

 Responsibilities 

  • Manage the product, documentation and payment flow to customers, suppliers, and freight providers for the physical trades of the assigned business unit.

  • Plan and direct vessel/container loading and discharge operations with ship brokers/freight forwarders and determine suitability of transportation offered, including review of prior cargoes, tank conditions, and materials of construction to ensure safe carriage of product that meets customer specifications.

  • Maintain accurate data in ERP system as per company policy.

  • Ensure the import and export customs processes of the products traded are managed efficiently.

  • Look for ways to improve processes, maximize performance, and reduce costs.

  • Coordinate with various departments internally to understand financial, credit, and compliance requirements related to individual trades.

  • Negotiate rates with third party logistics and inspection service providers.

  • Communicate shipment detail with local and international teams.

  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, customers, and service providers to ensure an effective execution of containerized trade operations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian and English
  • Resident in Istanbul, Turkey
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, or related business field (required)
  • Experience working in an ERP system (preferred)
  • 2 years’ experience in logistics or physical commodity movements (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, Import/Export Procedures & Documents (preferred)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to operate independently
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Microsoft Office competence, advanced skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate complex issues in a simple, clear, concise manner with internal and external clients
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team
