Anton van der Bijl's work experience includes holding multiple roles at different companies over the years. Anton began their career as a SAP MM/WM consultant at the South African Post Office in 1999 and later worked in the same role at Akzo Nobel and Hays Logistics in 2001.

In 2003, Anton joined Xpedia Applications and took on various roles, including Technical Consultant, Applications team lead, Director & Business Unit Manager for Xpedia IT's applications division, and Managing Director/CEO. Throughout their time at Xpedia, they achieved significant growth in revenue, implemented backoffice processes and systems for smoother operations, built a software development team, led the development of multiple software products, and successfully implemented Scrum.

In 2020, Anton moved to SuperPayroll, where they initially served as the CTO before becoming the CEO. As CEO, they led a focused team in enhancing automation features in the software, which improved efficiency and reduced risks in multi-country, multi-company, shared service, and outsource environments.

Anton's most recent position is with Trilogy, where they hold the role of Subsystem CTO in the central Technical Product Management (TPM) team. In this position, their primary responsibilities include making important technical decisions for the development of the group's products, conducting technical teardowns of target acquisition products, and developing cost optimization algorithms and runbooks for AWS.

Anton van der Bijl's education history begins in 1990, when they attended Pro Arte Alphen Park for an unspecified degree or field of study. From 1995 to 1998, they studied at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Industrial Engineering. In 1999, they completed the SAP MM/WM Academy at SAP. In 2001, they pursued further education at SAP, specializing in SAP IS Retail. Alongside their formal education, Anton has obtained additional certifications. In July 2019, they completed the PH125.1x: Data Science: R Basics course offered by HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX. In January 2020, they obtained the PH125.2x: Data Science: Visualization certification from the same institution.
