Project Engineer at TriMech

Ralph Gillis has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ralph began their career at CR Bard in 1987, where they worked as an Associate Engineer for eight years. During this time, they gained expertise in designing mechanical equipment and overseeing equipment builds.

In 1995, Ralph joined Eclipse Product Development as a Contractor before moving on to Atrium Medical later that year. At Atrium Medical, they held various roles over a span of 15 years. Ralph started as a CAD Administrator, responsible for installing and maintaining CAD software and hardware. Ralph then transitioned to a CAD Designer, collaborating with Lead Engineers on mechanical designs for manufacturing assembly equipment. In the latter part of their tenure at Atrium Medical, they worked as a Product Development Engineer, focusing on product design and development, particularly in plastic molded products and related components/systems.

In 2010, Ralph joined CADD Edge, Inc. | A TriMech Company, where they served as a Technical Support Supervisor and Applications Engineer. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Technical Support Staff, provided training and mentoring, and ensured high-quality support and technical assistance to customers. Additionally, they delivered SolidWorks product training to customers, helping them enhance their productivity.

Currently, Ralph is working at TriMech as a Project Engineer, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Application Engineer, starting in September 2016 and continuing until their promotion.

Ralph Gillis attended Nashua Community College from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained an associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Drafting. Following this, they pursued a field of study in Plastics Engineering Technology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Ralph also holds numerous certifications, including Certified SolidWorks Professional - Model Based Definition, Certified BodyTalk Access Technician, Certified SolidWorks Plastics Support Technician, Certified PDM Support Technician 2012-2013, Certified SolidWorks Expert, Certified SolidWorks Professional-Adv. Drawing Tools Specialist, Certified SolidWorks Support Technician 2013, Certified SolidWorks Professional-Adv. Mold Tool Specialist, Certified Sustainable Design Associate, Certified DriveWorks Professional, Certified SolidWorks Instructor, Certified SolidWorks Professional, Certified SolidWorks Professional- Advanced Sheet Metal Specialist, and Certified SolidWorks Professional- Advanced Weldment Specialist.
