Lester Spitler

Lester Spitler has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Lester is currently the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain at TriMet since December 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Procurement Officer at the City of Portland starting from April 2018. Lester has previously worked at TriMet as the Director of Procurement & Contracts from September 2016 to April 2018, and as a Procurement & Contracts Manager from September 2015 to September 2016. Lester also worked as a Senior Procurement and Contracts Analyst at the Oregon Health Authority from January 2015 to September 2015. Before that, Lester served as the Vice President at Government Sourcing Solutions from June 2014 to December 2014. Lester also held the role of Senior Contract Specialist at Multnomah County from October 2012 to May 2014. Additionally, Lester has experience working for the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, Office of Citywide Purchasing where they served as the Deputy Chief Contracting Officer from September 2011 to September 2012 and as the Purchasing Manager from March 2010 to September 2011. Lester'searlier experience includes working as a Procurement Analyst at the MTA New York City Transit Authority from June 2006 to March 2010, and as an intern at the NGO Committee on UNICEF from January 2006 to June 2006.

Lester Spitler obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fordham University in 2006. Lester then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Urban Systems Engineering and Management from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, which they completed in 2009.
