Prior to this, they worked at Mark Anthony Group, where they held several roles, including Sales Manager for Alberta & Saskatchewan, Key Account Manager for Alberta, Provincial Manager for Saskatchewan, Territory Manager for Toronto Core, Sales Associate for Toronto Core, Sales Associate for Northern Ontario, and Merchandiser for Northern Ontario. Alan demonstrated exceptional performance by consistently exceeding targets, achieving significant territory growth, and winning awards. Alan is experienced in leading teams, managing budgets, developing trade programs, and establishing strong relationships with key customers.
Alan Russel completed their education at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from 2011 to 2015, earning an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Sports Administration. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including California Wine Certification: Intermediate Level 2 from the California Wine Institute in December 2022, WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits from WSET—Wine & Spirit Education Trust in January 2021, WSET Level 2 Award in Wine & Sprits from WSET—Wine & Spirit Education Trust in April 2016, Prud'Homme Beer Certification Level 1 - Beer Enthusiast from Beer Canada in August 2015, and Smart Serve from Smart Serve Ontario in September 2013.
