Amy Bernard

Amy Bernard has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amy is currently working as the Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement at Trinchero Family Estates since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Program Manager at the George W. Bush Presidential Center from May 2019 to October 2021.

Amy also has a background in the military, specifically in the United States Marine Corps. Amy held several positions during their time in the Marine Corps, including Executive Officer of the Combat Logistics Battalion 5 from October 2017 to May 2019. In this role, they led a large team, managed budgets and assets, and implemented process improvements.

Before joining the Marine Corps, Amy pursued their Master of Arts in International Security at Massey University from February 2016 to April 2017. Amy contributed their expertise in joint and combined planning exercises and served as a directing staff member at the Intermediate Command and Staff Course.

Amy's earlier work experience includes serving as an Aide-de-Camp and Regional Logistics Planner at Marine Forces Command from April 2013 to January 2016, where they provided logistical and administrative support. Amy also worked as a Sports and Fitness Manager and Personal Trainer at various organizations from January 2000 to May 2004, as well as a Head Age Group Coach for USA Swimming and Competitive Swim Teams from 1994 to 2004.

Amy Bernard obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Sports Management from Texas A&M University between 1995 and 1999. Amy later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Security at Massey University from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, Amy completed a Master of Arts degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine from 2014 to 2019. Amy also attended the New Zealand Defence Force Advanced Command and Staff College Joint in 2016-2017, although the degree name and field of study are not specified. Amy continued their education in the wine industry, earning Level 1 Awards in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2019. Amy then studied Wine Business Operations at the Napa Valley Wine Academy in 2020. In the same year, they obtained WSET Awards, Level 2 Award in Wine from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Amy is currently enrolled in the Wine Executive Program at the Graduate School of Management and Department of Viticulture and Enology, University of California, Davis, where they are expected to complete their studies in 2022.
