Grace McNicholas

Grace McNicholas is a PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on zoology and animal biology, under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Payne, Dr. Andrew Jackson, and Dr. Niall Ó Maoiléidigh, with research funded by the Marine Institute's Cullen Scholarship Programme. Grace serves as a content editor for the college’s postgraduate Ecology and Evolution blog and co-heads the NERD Club, fostering discussions among students in ecology and evolution. Previous experience includes roles as the Diffuse Water Pollution Lead Advisor at Natural England and customer service representative for Ferrero and Marks and Spencer. Grace has conducted research as an intern at Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation and Sharks And Rays Australia, contributing to significant conservation projects. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Conservation Biology & Ecology from the University of Exeter, an MSc in Marine Environmental Management from the University of York, and ongoing doctoral studies at Trinity College Dublin.
