Michael Felty

Michael Felty is an experienced academic and researcher with a diverse background in chemistry and education. Currently a Professor and Honors Program Director at Trinity Valley Community College since 2009, Michael cultivates high-level analytical thinking in students across multiple campuses while coordinating the Honors Program. Previous roles include Post-Doctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Associate at the University of Tennessee, where Michael focused on surface science and molecular modeling. Additionally, experience includes teaching positions at ITT Technical Institute, Tutor Connection, and Western Kentucky University, emphasizing research methods, problem-solving techniques, and laboratory instruction. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in Chemistry and Physics from Western Kentucky University.
