Robert Matsuoka

Robert Matsuoka has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Robert currently holds the position of Vice President, Head of Engineering at Tripadvisor, where they have been working since 2016. Prior to this role, they served as Vice President of Engineering, Traveler Product and Vice President of Engineering, B2C at the same company.

Before joining Tripadvisor, they had various leadership positions at Citymaps.com as the CTO from 2012 to 2016, LumiFi as a Fractional CTO in 2016, 1M Consulting as a Principal from 2014 to 2016, and Archersoft USA as a Partner from 2013 to 2016.

Robert also worked as the Principal at MokaMedia Partners, LLC from 2008 to 2014. Before that, they founded RunTime Technologies and served as the Founder, CTO, and President from 1995 to 2008.

Furthermore, they served on the Board of Directors at MOUSE from 1997 to 2002.

Their earlier experiences include roles such as Associate Director at The Dalton School and Technical Director at the Institute for Learning Technologies.

Robert Matsuoka completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Biology at Colorado College. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Instructional Technology from Columbia University, which they completed between 1990 and 1992.
