Barbara Barrett's work experience includes various leadership positions in government, academia, and the corporate sector. Barbara served as the former Secretary of the Air Force, overseeing the affairs of the Department of the Air Force. Barbara also had roles such as Chairman of the Board at The Aerospace Corporation, Interim President at Thunderbird School of Global Management, and U.S. Ambassador to Finland. Additionally, they held positions at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and the International Women's Forum. Barbara's career also involved stints as a Fellow at Harvard University and as a CEO at the American Management Association.
Barbara Barrett's education history includes a J.D. degree in Law from Arizona State University. Barbara also holds an M.P.A. degree in International Business and a B.S. degree in Political Science, both from Arizona State University as well. In addition to their formal education, they participated in astronaut training at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre in Star City, Russia and the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in 2009.
