Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Assistant to join our Group FP&A Team. The FP&A Assistant will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis processes for our organisation, providing valuable insights across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly flash, management information and variance analysis for key stakeholders, highlighting areas of opportunity or potential risk.
  • Working with wider team to assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for senior leadership and board meetings, summarizing key financial insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and be responsible for running the automated monthly departmental dashboards.
  • Be the first preparer of FTE and FUM/AUM information for actuals, forecast and budget working with HR and stakeholders across the business.

Support decision making by providing timely and meaningful insights on business performance, where appropriate.

  • Support the delivery of reforecast and budgeting owning the versioning up of our planning tool and managing uploads and updates to the system through the process.
  • Support team in updates of key financial models across long term plan, capital and liquidity management.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis across staff costs and fee income on monthly basis.
  • Partner with several department heads on the management and preparation of their budgets.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Knowledge and Experience

We are seeking a part qualified accountant/ finalist ideally with 1-2 years experience in FP&A with:

  • Previous experience of working in a Group Finance or FP&A environment.
  • Experience of Workday Adaptive desirable or another planning and analysis tool.
  • Advanced excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Basic understanding of financial modelling.
  • An opportunity to study for a new or existing accountancy qualification with study support.
