Kosuke Iwai, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of microfluidics and bioengineering. Kosuke currently holds the position of Senior Scientist at Triplebar since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist II at Triplebar from September 2021 to March 2023, and as a Microfluidics Engineer from September 2020 to September 2021.

Dr. Iwai also has extensive research experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the Joint BioEnergy Institute and Sandia National Laboratories. At the Joint BioEnergy Institute, they worked on multiple projects involving the development of high-throughput microfluidic platforms for gene editing processes, anaerobic transformation processes, and cell-free pathway optimization. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Fellow at The University of Tokyo from April 2009 to July 2009, and as a Research Assistant at Queen's University from May 2008 to July 2008. Kosuke also interned at Hitachi in August 2005.

Kosuke Iwai, Ph.D. received their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo between 2003 and 2007.
