Brian Johns

Brian Johns has over 30 years of experience as a designer, manager, and executive in various companies across the globe, specializing in automotive, appliances, medical, military, mining, and laser-based system design, engineering, and manufacturing. Brian has held leadership positions such as Director of Design and Product Development at Sunbeam Corporation and Director of Design and Engineering at Hayco Manufacturing. In 2010, they joined Idea01 Consulting as Director and VP of Design and Engineering, providing global resources to industries. Brian also served as the CTO of Innova Products Limited and as a consultant in engineering, design, manufacturing, tooling, and sourcing. From 2019 to 2023, they worked at DBA and held positions such as Head of Innovation and R&D and GM of Product, Innovation, R&D, and Quality. Currently, Brian is the VP of Product Development at Tritium® since June 2023.

Brian Johns completed their undergraduate education at the University of South Australia from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a degree in Industrial Design with a focus on Product Development. Brian also obtained a Certificate in Project Management from the Australian Institute of Management, completed a part-time MBA program in Business Administration and Management, General at the Mount Eliza Business School, and received a Certificate in Project Management from Paradigm Business.
