Pieter Claassen

Pieter Claassen is an experienced supply chain professional currently serving as Supply Chain Manager at Tronox since July 2021. Prior to this role, Pieter held various positions, including Principal Category Management at BHP, where responsibilities included leading the implementation of FMCG Consolidation solutions and developing supplier scorecards. Pieter has also served as Strategic Supply & Procurement Leader in the private sector, General Manager Supply at BGC Contracting, and Sourcing & Procurement Senior Manager at Newmont Mining Corporation. Earlier in the career, Pieter worked as Senior Manager Procurement and Supply Specialist at Bateman Projects Limited and BHPBilliton, respectively. Pieter holds an MBA from North-West University and a National Diploma in Purchasing Management from Technikon Free State.
