Duncan Ribbons

Duncan Ribbons currently serves as the VP of IP & Regulatory at Tropic since July 2023. Previously, Duncan held the position of Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel for Global Commercial Solutions at IQVIA from January 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leading legal support for the Global Business Unit. Additionally, Duncan was the Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel for Northern Europe & EMEA at IQVIA, overseeing strategic legal matters across approximately 50 countries. Prior experience includes serving as Director of IP for EMEA at JUUL Labs, where Duncan managed all IP issues in the region, and as Global Head of Transactions & General Counsel at Celixir, a cell and gene therapy company. Earlier roles encompass a partnership at Redd Solicitors LLP focusing on IP issues and a senior associate position at Herbert Smith LLP, advising on corporate and IP matters for major clients. Duncan earned a BA and MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge and further qualifications in IP Law and Practice from the University of Bristol, as well as law qualifications from BPP Law School.
