Maialen Garmendia Calvo

Maialen Garmendia Calvo has a strong background in scientific research and laboratory work. Maialen started their career in 2017 as a Coordinator at Urtxintxa Kalitatezko Herritarrak, where they worked until 2019. In 2019, they transitioned to NIAB EMR as a Research Assistant, where they worked until October 2020. Following that, Maialen joined NIAB in November 2020 as a Research Assistant and continued in this role until May 2023. Most recently, they have taken on the position of Laboratory Technician at Tropic, starting in May 2023.

Maialen Garmendia Calvo completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea between 2012 and 2016. Maialen then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at Universidad de Córdoba from 2016 to 2017.
