Matthew Thompson

Matthew Thompson has a diverse work experience, starting as a candy chef and kitchen manager at Stone Mountain Candy Kitchen in 1998. Matthew then worked at Mellow Mushroom as a manager, server, and cook. In 2004, Matthew became an associate agent at Nationwide Insurance, where they focused on inside and outside sales, agency marketing, and customer service. In 2013, they joined Relately as a copyeditor and copywriter, helping clients increase revenue through relationship-building strategies. Matthew's interest in web application development led him to leave their insurance career and pursue full-stack development as a self-employed developer in 2014. Matthew then joined RightSignature as a Junior Web Developer before the company was acquired by Citrix Systems in the same year. At Citrix, Matthew served as a Software Engineer/Release Manager, working on various projects and integration implementations. In 2018, they joined Chargify as a Software Developer and eventually became a Software Engineering Manager before transitioning to their current role as an Engineering Manager at Tropic in 2022.

Matthew Thompson attended Georgia State University from 1999 to 2005, where they studied English.
