Michael Whitlark's work experience begins in 2006 as a Chef at Whole Foods Market, where they worked until 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they served in the US Army National Guard as a Radio Technician and Network Administrator, earning commendations for their leadership and exemplary work. In 2011, they briefly worked as a Chef at Harris Teeter. In 2015, Michael started working at Independence High School as a Teacher, where they developed instructional strategies, led curriculum development efforts, and analyzed standardized test data. In 2021, they joined ClickUp as a Customer Support Specialist and later transitioned to a Coaching role. Currently, Michael is a Customer Success Manager at Tropic. Outside of their professional career, they have also pursued their passion as an Artist since 2008, creating and selling various forms of artwork and receiving recognition for their talent.

Michael Whitlark earned a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree at Wake Technical Community College from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained a certification in Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2021.
