Luke Martindale

Luke Martindale is an experienced analyst in carbon markets, currently working at MSCI Carbon Markets since November 2022, where a methodology for assessing the integrity of carbon offset projects has been developed, with a focus on land use and forestry initiatives. Prior to this role, Luke served as a Policy Advisor at Ofgem, managing the security of GB's energy supply and collaborating with industry stakeholders. Early career roles included a Junior Analyst position at MSCI Carbon Markets and a Consulting Intern at Carbon-Plus Capital, where project proposals for low carbon development were developed. Luke also contributed as a Research Assistant at Village Water, working with quantitative data and identifying fundraising partners. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Change and International Development from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Global Development from Aberystwyth University.
