Obaida Hitto

Obaida Hitto is an experienced correspondent and producer at TRT World since May 2016, specializing in Middle East news coverage and related programs. Key roles include developing coverage plans, booking guests for interviews, and producing news content. Prior experience includes founding and managing the Information Unit at the Omran Center for Strategic Studies, overseeing media monitoring and reporting on the Syrian crisis, and translating works from Arabic to English across various organizations. Obaida also co-founded the Shaam Relief Foundation and worked as an outreach coordinator for the Muslim Legal Fund of America. Educational achievement includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas, completed in 2010.
