Ravid Chowdhury

Ravid Chowdhury has a diverse work experience in various sectors and roles. Starting in 2008, Ravid worked as a Grameen Bank Intern at Grameen Foundation. In 2010, Ravid became an Economic Research Fellow at the International Growth Centre and later transitioned to a Research Associate role at Innovations for Poverty Action in 2011.

In 2013, Ravid joined TAU Investment Management as a Senior Associate, where they gained transaction experience in North America, Europe, and Asia. Ravid held this position until February 2017.

Following TAU Investment Management, Ravid worked as a Seed Investor and CFO at Pathao, a ride-sharing platform in Bangladesh and Nepal. Here, they led corporate development and closed three equity financing rounds. This role lasted from June 2016 to December 2017.

In 2018, Ravid began serving as the Seed Lead Investor and Board Director at Truck Lagbe, a leading truck booking technology platform in Bangladesh. They also worked as an Advisor at Fashion for Good during the same period.

From 2019 to September 2021, Ravid served as a Venture Partner and Entrepreneur in Residence at Seedstars, a Switzerland-based venture capital firm. Here, they sourced Seed and Series A investments and served as Entrepreneur in Residence for two accelerators.

Currently, Ravid is working as an Investment Manager at Techstars, a global accelerator and early-stage investment fund. In this role, they manage a portfolio of post-accelerator companies, offer support, and lead follow-on investments.

Throughout their career, Ravid has demonstrated expertise in investment management, corporate development, and advisory roles across various sectors and regions.

Ravid Chowdhury attended Columbia University from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in International Finance and Economic Policy. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics. Earlier in their education, Ravid attended The Loomis Chaffee School, a preparatory and boarding high school, though no specific field of study was mentioned for this period.
