Andrea Ambrose Lobato has worked in a variety of roles in the legal field since 2007. Andrea began their career as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where they drafted bench memoranda and tentative opinions for the Ninth Circuit, Eleventh Circuit, Third Circuit, and Sixth Circuit. Andrea then worked as an Associate for Latham & Watkins, where they drafted and researched trial, mediation, and appellate briefs in securities, trademark, insurance, immigration, ERISA, and false advertising cases. In 2010, they became an Associate at Horvitz & Levy, where they drafted and researched appellate briefs for the United States Supreme Court, California Supreme Court, California Court of Appeal, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in insurance coverage, breach of contract, First Amendment, professional liability, bankruptcy, health care, ADA disability, and workers' compensation actions. Andrea then worked as Director of Legal at Judicata, where they drove the ground-up development of a new legal research engine and managed a team of two lawyers and a paralegal responsible for product content. In 2014, they became Director of Regulatory Compliance at Lyft, where they developed and oversaw all aspects of Lyft's regulatory compliance across North America. In 2017, they joined Eaze as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, where they oversaw all legal and compliance matters for the company, including commercial transactions, corporate governance, employment, litigation, intellectual property, real estate, compliance, trust and safety. Andrea is currently working as General Counsel for both TruckSmarter and Coco.
Andrea Ambrose Lobato completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. Andrea then attended the USC Gould School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor degree in 2007.
