David Croucher is a senior financial executive who has been working with public and private companies in Canada and the United States for the past 20 years in high technology fields such as software, telecommunications equipment, and biotechnology.
Croucher served as CFO for Liponex Inc., a biotechnology company listed on the TSX that was sold to Imasight Inc. in 2008. Croucher also worked with Chemaphor Inc., a biotechnology company listed on the TSXV. Prior to that position, Croucher served as a Director of Finance for World Heart Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of medical (heart assist) devices listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Nasdaq National Market. Prior to World Heart Corporation, he served as Director of Finance for Akara Corporation, a telecommunications equipment start-up company that was acquired by Ciena Corporation in 2003.
Croucher also served nine years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, working in Canada and the U.S. and focusing on publicly traded and start-up high technology companies. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant registered in the U.S. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
