Shannon Brown

Shannon Brown has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of user experience and design. Shannon is currently serving as the Director of User Experience at TrueML since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at TrueAccord from 2016 to 2021, where they held the positions of Product Design Manager and User Experience Lead.

Before joining TrueAccord, Shannon worked at DocuSign as a User Experience Lead from 2014 to 2016. Shannon played a key role in designing the Global Support Site, increasing the self-service customer support deflection rates by 23%. Additionally, Shannon led the redesign of the DocuSign Community website to enhance user participation.

From 2014 to 2014, Shannon worked as a UX Consultant at Sage Bionetworks. Their responsibilities included gathering product requirements, developing conceptual designs, wireframes, and collaborating on creating an e-consent system for research studies involving phones and wearable technologies.

Prior to that, Shannon worked at Zumobi from 2009 to 2014, where they served as the Director of User Experience and managed a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing over 70 mobile, tablet, and television apps. Shannon was also involved in the product strategy and design for several highly successful apps.

Shannon's career started in 1999 when they founded their own design studio, S. I. Carter Design. Shannon managed various design projects, including interface design, web design, and CD-ROM authoring for clients such as Microsoft, Starbucks, and Real Networks. Before that, they worked as a Producer at mTAO Multimedia, where they created CD-ROMs and consulted with clients on interaction design and information architecture strategies.

Shannon Brown has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications and New Media Technologies from the University of Washington. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering, also from the University of Washington. Shannon also holds a certification as a Certified DocuSign Real Estate Trainer, obtained in 2015 from DocuSign.
