Eric Weingarten

Eric Weingarten is currently the VP, General Counsel at Truework. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel - Product at Coinbase from December 2018 to January 2021. Eric was also previously employed at Tesla from February 2017 to December 2018, where they served as the Associate General Counsel.

At Tesla, Eric led the development of a UX driven digital contracting platform and compliance processes that supported sales of over $10 billion annually. Eric also oversaw the Tesla consumer finance program, including negotiation of dealer agreements, funding commitments from institutional lenders, and compliance requirements. Additionally, Eric was responsible for launching the Tesla Solar Roof and Powerwall products worldwide, which included developing sales contracts, product warranties, safety protocols, permitting strategies, and customer data management strategy.

Eric Weingarten attended the University of Virginia for their BA in Economics and then the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law for their JD. Eric completed their LLM in International and Comparative Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
