Manas Mohapatra

Manas Mohapatra has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Manas currently holds the position of General Counsel at Trust Machines and is a Charter Member at TechGC. Prior to this, they worked at BNY Mellon as the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Technology Counsel from 2020 to 2022. From 2017 to 2020, Manas Mohapatra served as the Chief Privacy Officer at ViacomCBS Inc., leading the company's privacy and data protection efforts globally. Manas also held the role of Chief Privacy Officer at Viacom Inc. during this period. Before joining Viacom, Manas Mohapatra held various positions at Twitter from 2013 to 2017, including Associate General Counsel and Head of Privacy and Data Protection. Manas began their career as a Senior Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, where they focused on consumer privacy and identity protection, and prosecuted violations of federal laws. Manas Mohapatra also worked as an Associate at Goodwin Procter LLP and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Chief Judge Jose A. Fuste at the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Manas started their career as a Senior Web Developer at Nickelodeon Online and Fusebox.

Manas Mohapatra has a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Manas also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Manas Mohapatra has been a non-degree visiting student at IE Business School.
