Kirsten Schrader has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Kirsten began their career as an Editorial Intern at Reader's Digest, where they gained writing and editing skills and contributed content for Birds & Blooms magazine. Kirsten then worked as an Editorial Assistant, where they managed the website, edited reader submissions, and developed a strong eye for engaging content. Schrader later joined Reader's Digest Association as a Freelance Editor/Writer, responsible for writing features and editing reader-submitted stories, as well as assisting with digital functions. Kirsten subsequently became an Associate Editor and later a Senior Editor of Birds & Blooms magazine. At Trusted Media Brands, Inc., Schrader served as the Deputy Editor of Birds & Blooms magazine before being promoted to Executive Editor. In their current role as the Content Director of Family Handyman and Birds & Blooms, they manage the editorial teams and oversees content strategy.
Kirsten Schrader earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee between 2003 and 2007.
