Diana Amato knows working with young people is the only way to support them to meet their aspirations, and to become successful adults. Diana is a youth and community development specialist having worked in the youth affairs and refugee and migrant sector since 1996. Diana has maintained a number of senior roles for peak bodies, including the Centre for Multicultural Youth and the State Government department - Office for Youth. In 2016, Diana worked with a youth committee and was instrumental in supporting the development of Victoria’s State-wide Youth Policy, Building Stronger Youth Engagement in Victoria.

She would describe herself as a lifelong learner, always curious about people, different cultures, and what makes good leadership in large organisations. This year sees her complete her Master of Management and Leadership in Organisation Dynamics, a field dedicated to systems thinking and group dynamics. She is currently the Senior Coordinator of the Welcoming Neighbourhoods team for Moonee Valley City Council.
