Junjie Wang

Junjie Wang is a Research Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University since February 2020, focusing on research in Nano Technology, Nano-bio-engineering in Concrete, Sustainable Polymeric-cementitious Composites, and Novel Optical/Chemical Sensors for Concrete and the Environment. Prior to this role, Junjie Wang served as a Postdoctoral Associate at New York University Abu Dhabi from 2016 to February 2020. Academic achievements include a PhD in Civil Engineering from Queen's University Belfast (2011-2015), where research involved the influence of microcracks on steel corrosion in concrete and various transport properties. Additional experience includes demonstrating and tutoring engineering modules, as well as field engineering roles at the Test Centre of Civil Engineering at Zhejiang University and Huangchuan Shengcheng Construction Co. Ltd. Junjie Wang holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University and a Bachelor's degree from Hunan University.
